About

Alyssa Laurel Ringler is a Brooklyn based interdisciplinary artist and founder of Crown in Kings Studio, a photography business that often covers the daily happenings at the New York Stock Exchange. As an artist operating in a full pants suit in the country’s financial capital, Alyssa finds inspiration for her studio practice observing the heart of capitalism, big tech, data mining, and global surveillance mechanisms in a rapidly expanding and integrated technological society. Her projects combine painting, drawing, photography, technology, and often audience participation. Alyssa approaches each artistic project with the intention of bridging a more sustainable and responsible integration of technology with life alongside deeper context for imagery. She received a BFA in Photography from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She holds an MFA in Studio Arts from the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine.
